Brittany #4: The lovely local market in Perros-Guirec

DSC_0097

And here we are, at the nice local market of Perros-Guirec!!! I must admit I almost begged my dad to take me there, because I knew I could take some great shots (and by the way, I hope you’ll agree on that point ;)!).

This market has all it takes to be a perfect local market! There, we found EVERYTHING from the very traditional stripped jerseys to the local alimentary products, whether they are cheeses, vegetables or even the so very yummy sweet things such as the unavoidable ‘milk jam’!!! 😉

With all these new photos, I hope I would have made you wanna go there for your next holiday, but meanwhile you can still drool over all these nice little things 😉

Brittany #1: The AGAPA hotel in Perros-Guirec & its surroundings…

DSC_0013

Hey my sweeties! I’m finally back from holidays and ready to start writing on a more regular basis again! So as you’ve probably noticed it through my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts, I’m freshly coming back from Perros-Guirec, a stunning place in Brittany!

I’ve had such a nice time there with my daddy and a good old friend of mine! When we got there, after a long (VERY LONG) 8 hour drive, we could finally enjoy a tea at the AGAPA hotel (where we stayed those few days) and the amazing view from the bar and then from our room!

And trust me, it was more than delightful to wake up every morning facing the ocean and leaving our awaking souls to the open seas!

Concerning our first dinner in Brittany, we had it at the restaurant of the hotel, which was (let’s say it) a pure wonder for our quite demanding French taste buds ;p! Letting you enjoy what I tried on this first night with your little greedy eyes … I shall see  you here tomorrow to discover Brittany #2…

And still, Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

xoxo

My weekend in Haute-Savoie: DAY #3 – Les gorges du Fier, Evian & Lake Léman

DSC_0927

Good evening everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic day and you’re ready to go through the last bunch of photos of my weekend in Haute-Savoie. On our last day in this marvellous region and after a nice & yummy breakfast, we went to Les gorges du Fier and we then headed to Evian, which is a very beautiful town marked out by Lake Léman!

Concerning Les gorges du Fier, we had an almost “unreal” walk through a spectacular narrow canyon on a footbridge, that is affixed to the rock face 25 metres above the river, admired the remarkable Mer de Rochers... and thus discovered an astonishing legend!!!

And finally, before we got back to our very cherished Burgundy, we got to Evian next to Lake Léman, which gives this other pretty town a particular charm…

Wishing you a nice tour through these last photos of my weekend, I shall see you over here tomorrow for a special birthday post 😉

And with this,

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

xoxo

Pink Praline Cake

1st pic of the post

A very yummy recipe on the blog today… a pink praline cake! Once again, I made this delicious cake & took the photos yesterday with the greatest pleasure! I must admit that I really like doing it… it takes time but as the result’s here, it’s definitely worth it, isn’t it?!

But let’s talk seriously, here’s the recipe!

DSC_0642

Ingredients

  • 150g of flour
  • 120g of caster sugar
  • 150g of slightly melted butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 baking powder bag
  • 100g of pink pralines
  • 50g of ground almonds

Directions

  1. Mix the slightly melted butter with the caster sugar. Add the 3 eggs one by one and mix well once you’ve added one. Then, add the flour and the baking powder to the mixture.
  2. Put the pink pralines and the almonds in the previous mixture.
  3. Pour into a loaf tin and bake for about 30 minutes at 180°.
  4. READY! You can enjoy your lukewarm cake 😉 … and don’t forget to wrap it otherwise so that it keeps its ‘softness’.

Enjoy baking! But first, savour these delicious photos !!!

With this,

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉
