Pink Praline Cake

1st pic of the post

A very yummy recipe on the blog today… a pink praline cake! Once again, I made this delicious cake & took the photos yesterday with the greatest pleasure! I must admit that I really like doing it… it takes time but as the result’s here, it’s definitely worth it, isn’t it?!

But let’s talk seriously, here’s the recipe!

DSC_0642

Ingredients

  • 150g of flour
  • 120g of caster sugar
  • 150g of slightly melted butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 baking powder bag
  • 100g of pink pralines
  • 50g of ground almonds

Directions

  1. Mix the slightly melted butter with the caster sugar. Add the 3 eggs one by one and mix well once you’ve added one. Then, add the flour and the baking powder to the mixture.
  2. Put the pink pralines and the almonds in the previous mixture.
  3. Pour into a loaf tin and bake for about 30 minutes at 180°.
  4. READY! You can enjoy your lukewarm cake 😉 … and don’t forget to wrap it otherwise so that it keeps its ‘softness’.

Enjoy baking! But first, savour these delicious photos !!!

With this,

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

Gastronomic Weekend

IMG_1553I first would like to apologise for the very bad quality of the photos of this post, but I didn’t have my usual photographer with me this weekend, and only my iPod, so I’m very sorry about that! I hope you won’t be too mad at me :/! I will do better next time, I promise (I will take my very cherished Nikon with me ^^).

DAY 1

Our first restaurant this weekend, Konyne, is situated next to my hometown; it’s a very simple restaurant, where original and delicious dishes are cooked! The inside of the restaurant makes me think of those chalets/bungalows you’re usually staying at when you go skiing, so you feel quite at ease and comfy! In short, it’s a perfect place to spend a nice evening with your family ;)!

DAY 2

This Sunday, I visited my maternal grandpa I hadn’t seen for about three years now! We had such a lovely time together, accompanied by a very yummy lunch at the restaurant, Les Lauriers roses, in Bourbonne-les-Bains. Though the weather was particularly bad today, it was such a joy to see my grandpa again! I hope these few hours with us will have helped him get better! With this short babbling (for once! #haha !!!), I’ll let you enjoy my disastrous photos :p!

It was a late post, but I came back from Bourbonne just a few hours ago so…

I hope you enjoyed it even a little bit, and anyway I write to you very soon for the next InstaMagic and also for other (I hope) nice posts 😉

Keep holding on to what and who you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

Much Love ❤

(Hot) Jam muffins in pots

DSC_0631

As I promised you on the diverse social networks, I’m publishing a very yummy recipe today! I’m actually quite excited about reading your feedbacks on that post, especially because it’s the first “cookery post” I’m doing in full (I mean… from baking the thing to taking all the pictures for my blogpost ^^ – I only used to bake, but including my own photos in a cookery article is well and truly a première!!!). So I really hope you’ll like it!

Last Friday, I cooked very delicious muffins you might already have had an overview on Instagram! Everyone in the family, my brother, my dad and my grandparents literally fell for them :p!!!! #Mwahahahah!!!!! And today I’m finally releasing the recipe of those SO yummy treats, so that each of you, my lovely ones, can also get “enchanted” by these little yummy cakes 😉 !!!!

Enough babbling and enjoy (or as the French would say… Bonne dégustation!)

DSC_0623

Ingredients (for 6 muffins)

  • 8 table spoons of melted butter (I personally used a cereal butter, which gave the muffins a better taste ;)!!!)
  • One jar of jam, or (if you’re very greedy like me ^^) several of different jams (that’s what I did so there’s more variety in the muffins hihi!!!)
  • 115g caster sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 115g of flour
  • Icing sugar to sprinkle
  • (You can also add some fruits on the top of your muffins)
  • 6 pots or cups
  • AND of course, LOTS OF LOVE to made them ❤

DSC_0625

Directions

  1. Butter your cups and add 2 teaspoons of the jam in each of them.
  2. In a bowl, mix the melted butter and the caster sugar. Then, add the eggs and the vanilla extracts. And finally, mix the flour with the all mixture.
  3. Put some water in an oven dish and put the cups in it. Bake at 180° until the you see the muffins are ready (from 15 to 30 minutes).
  4. You can eventually decorate your muffins with some fruits and sprinkle some icing sugar on the top of them.

PS: those muffins are supposed to be better when warm, but I can also assure you they’re a pure delight when cold ;)!!!!

I hope I made you want to bake these delicious muffins, even with the almost unbearable heat out there :p!!!

With this, my fruity budding pastry chef, I wish you a very nice Sunday and simply want to remind you to…

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

Financiers & red fruits skewers

Yoop! Here I am today with a brand new and very yummy recipe! I hope everybody had a happy national day in France and that everyone had a lovely weekend!!!! I was thinking the other day (yes! it happens sometimes :p!!!) and I realised it’s been ages since I last wrote a cookery post on the blog (the 14th of July cupcakes excluded of course!!!), so I thought it was more than ever time to do so! I mean… Summer is here and most of us like cooking and making delicious little things for these very hot summery days so…

Today’s recipe is extracted from the last MY LITTLE WORLD magazine and is entitled Financiers & red fruits skewers! This title and the photo below are greatly enough to make my mouth water :p!!!

DSC_0580

Enough babbling! Here’s the recipe!

Ingredients (for 12 skewers)

  • 100g of egg white
  • 100g of icing sugar
  • 40g of ground almonds
  • 40g of flour
  • 50g of butter
  • 12 raspberries
  • 12 strawberries
  • 48 blueberries

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C.
  2. Make the butter melt.
  3. Mix the icing sugar, the flour and the ground almonds in a bowl. Then, add the cooled butter and the egg whites.
  4. Mix it all well!
  5. Pour the dough in muffin pastry tins and put them in the oven for about 10 minutes. The financiers must be quite brown!
  6. Let it cool.
  7. Make the skewers the way you want or getting inspiration from the picture above ;)!!

Now, put your aprons on and let’s bake these SO very yummy summer skewers :)!!!!

With this, my budding pastry chef, and apart from enjoying & savouring these financiers,

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

Red fruited kisses ❤
