Let’s get the 14th of July ready!!!

I might feel a bit more English (or slightly British!) than French sometimes… but France has always been and will always be my homeland (the place where I was born, because for those of you who know me a bit better, you know I’ve found a second home ;)!!!), so I think it’s absolutely necessary to prepare the French national day as it’s due to be!

Fireworks, picnic, sun, dance… The 14th of July is inevitably a party day!!!! And so as to make the party even crazier, I suggest we learn to make very yummy three-coloured cupcakes together!


  • 2 eggs – 150g of flour – 90g of lightly melted butter – 110g of brown sugar – 1 baking powder bag – 80g of fresh & thick cream – 30ml of milk
  • 250g of icing sugar – 80g of butter – 3 to 4 drops of blue & red food colouring (for the three-coloured frosting)


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the butter and the brown sugar until the mixture whiten.
  2. Add the eggs one by one to the butter & sugar mixture.
  3. Then, incorporate the flour and the baking powder. Mix it well.
  4. Add the fresh cream.
  5. With a pastry bag, pour this mixture in cupcake baking tins and let your cupcakes bake for 20 minutes (180°C).
  6. Get the frosting ready. In a mixer’s bowl, pour the icing sugar and the melted butter. Mix it. Add the milk very delicately. Mix again. Let it dry for 1 hour.
  7. Once the cupcakes are baked and cooled, you can frost them. Put your frosting in 3 different bowls. Add 3 to 4 drops of red food colouring in one of them, and 3 to 4 drops of blue food colouring in another one. Mix delicately.
  8. Using a knife or a spatula, decorate your cupcakes as showed on the photo above!


And it’s ready! The only thing you have to do know is savour these 14th of July cupcakes and enjoy your national day with your friends and family (at least, for those of you who are French :p)! 😉

Summer fruits tartlet by Celine from Les demoizelles…

Hi there, my lovely fruity readers! Today, I am very glad to share a very yummy & summery recipe I tasted not a long time ago, and that is a pure wonder! I think I simply fell in love with this fruity tartlet, discovered on Celine’s blog, Les Demoizelles… and believe me, it was “love at first sight” :p!

Plus, though the weather’s a bit better, it is still quite chilly and I really needed to be reminded that summer was actually coming pretty soon! In a few words, I wanted to feel those sweet summer nights, when one usually finishes their lovely meal on a terrace with a fresh & fruity dessert such as that one!

Thus, for this particular reason, I also wanted to take you, my lovely ones, to this very sweet summer landscape! Ready?! Here’s the recipe then …


  • 1 puff pastry
  • 1 lemon
  • 6 to 8 peaches
  • 1 or 2 vanilla sugar bag
  • 250g of strawberries
  • 200g of blackberries
  • flaked almonds

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°.
  2. Place your puff pastry in the tartlet baking tins. Put in the oven for a few minutes, so that it can bake a little bit. 
  3. Meanwhile, rinse the fruits & cut the peaches in halves (without forgetting to take the stone off ^^).
  4. Then, cut the half peaches in 3 or 4 pieces and put them into an oven dish.
  5. Manage to get some lemon zests and put them in the middle of the peaches & strawberries in your oven dish. 
  6. Sprinkle some vanilla sugar on the fruits (1 or 2 bags according to your personal tastes ^^) and add the flake almonds.
  7. Take the baked puff pastry off of the oven and let the fruits bake in the oven for about 35 minutes instead (the fruits must give some juice and slightly be browned).
  8. After baking and with your spoon, place the baked fruits in your tartlet baking tins and add a few blackberries & strawberries to decorate. 
  9. You can enjoy those delicious tartlet cold or warm, with some ice cream or simply with a creamy yogurt.

Hey my lovelies! Today, by this beautiful sunny British Sunday, I would like to share a Zoe Macaron’s muffins recipe. I must admit that I DEFINITELY am a muffin lover, muffin addict, or whatever you want… you got the idea :p!

I was doing my daily blog reading when I came across this very yummy-looking Banana & Raspberry Muffin recipe, and I simply couldn’t not share it with you! They’re very easy to make and just SO DELICIOUS!!! Plus, I am still working on my article with a new reference to the lovely person I met about a month ago…

Thus, so as to make you wait a little bit more, I thought that such a lovely & delicious recipe like this one would, without any doubt, make your day 😉

Ingredients (for about 10 muffins)

  • 250g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 60g brown sugar
  • 80g butter
  • 1 baking powder bag
  • 1 vanilla sugar bag
  • 2 or 3 ripe bananas
  • 125g raspberries


  1. Melt the butter. 
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, the baking powder, the brown sugar and the vanilla sugar so as to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Add the 2 eggs, the previously mashed bananas and the melted butter.
  4. Mix the whole thing.
  5. Then, add the whole raspberries and mix gently so as to keep the raspberries as intact as possible.
  6. Butter your baking tin(s) and fill them with the mixture.
  7. Put in the oven for 10 to 18 minutes (depending on the power of your oven ;)!).
  8. Let your muffins cool a bit and ENJOY them! ;p
