Baby you’re a firework!

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine

Just own the night like the 14th of July

‘Cause baby, you’re a firework
Come on, show ’em what you’re worth
Make ’em go, oh, oh, oh
As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you’re a firework
Come on, let your colours burst
Make ’em go, oh, oh, oh
You’re gonna leave ’em falling down

Happy 14th of July everyone!!!! I am just posting a little article today to share my yesterday’s hometown firework and the few photos we took with two good old friends who I celebrated the French national day with!

I’m quite satisfied with the photos of the firework, especially because… (as we’re very gifted #irony :p) we managed to arrive at the very end of the show, which means I had to take the pictures while getting there :/! Knowing that, it’s not too bad, is it?!

July 14th 1789… the storming of the Bastille, the fall of the royal authority’s symbol, the flashpoint of the French Revolution! Yesterday, we were saying that we really liked our national day, the Bastille day! It is so symbolic and I’m personally very proud of that day, because it also belongs to my favourite period of the French history!

I’m not going to teach anything in that post, I don’t think I’m qualified for that kind of stuff, but I will simply let you enjoy (I hope!) the photos we took yesterday evening (when I by the way had a very great and lovely time :D)!

With this, I shall maybe say… VIVE LA FRANCE! (Even though the country might not be at its very best at the moment, it must be admitted that this is a beautiful country that contains lots of gorgeous sights… and I think French people (that includes me :/!!!) should definitely be prouder of their homeland!)

I’m gonna leave you with this adorable full of love pic ❤ and tell you to…

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

Much LOVE, my lovely ones ❤

Let’s get the 14th of July ready!!!

La recette des cupcakes du 14 juillet !

I might feel a bit more English (or slightly British!) than French sometimes… but France has always been and will always be my homeland (the place where I was born, because for those of you who know me a bit better, you know I’ve found a second home ;)!!!), so I think it’s absolutely necessary to prepare the French national day as it’s due to be!

Fireworks, picnic, sun, dance… The 14th of July is inevitably a party day!!!! And so as to make the party even crazier, I suggest we learn to make very yummy three-coloured cupcakes together!

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs – 150g of flour – 90g of lightly melted butter – 110g of brown sugar – 1 baking powder bag – 80g of fresh & thick cream – 30ml of milk
  • 250g of icing sugar – 80g of butter – 3 to 4 drops of blue & red food colouring (for the three-coloured frosting)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Mix the butter and the brown sugar until the mixture whiten.
  2. Add the eggs one by one to the butter & sugar mixture.
  3. Then, incorporate the flour and the baking powder. Mix it well.
  4. Add the fresh cream.
  5. With a pastry bag, pour this mixture in cupcake baking tins and let your cupcakes bake for 20 minutes (180°C).
  6. Get the frosting ready. In a mixer’s bowl, pour the icing sugar and the melted butter. Mix it. Add the milk very delicately. Mix again. Let it dry for 1 hour.
  7. Once the cupcakes are baked and cooled, you can frost them. Put your frosting in 3 different bowls. Add 3 to 4 drops of red food colouring in one of them, and 3 to 4 drops of blue food colouring in another one. Mix delicately.
  8. Using a knife or a spatula, decorate your cupcakes as showed on the photo above!

And it’s ready! The only thing you have to do know is savour these 14th of July cupcakes and enjoy your national day with your friends and family (at least, for those of you who are French :p)! 😉

With this, my lovely chefs, I wish everyone a very happy (and YUMMY!!!) 14th of July… and as usual,

Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉

Much Love to all my adorable readers ❤

xoxo
