I’m sorry not to have written before today, but I was waiting for this very special occasion or should I say very special & unique day… Valentine’s day .
Most of people view this day as one of the most money-making day of the year, but to me… this is one of the most wonderful. It is… or at least it is supposed to be a very sweet day, even if you don’t have a sweetheart and you’re all alone for Valentine’s Day.BUT this is what YOU believe. You’re not alone, you’ll never be. There will always be at least one person on earth who cares about you and that you care about as well! Who said it had to be your boy/girlfriend???
Think about it. It doesn’t make sense. You can celebrate Valentine’s Day with people you love the most (and actually you have to spend Valentine’s Day with people you love the most and who love you back), like your family and your friends. And even if you’re in a relationship, you shouldn’t exclusively spend this day with your sweetheart and so try not to forget the ones that, WHATEVER HAPPENS, will always be there for you, and saying this I obviously mean your family & friends. And why am I telling you this really? Well, simply because Valentine’s Day is above all about love and nothing else.
Moreover the 14th of February is the perfect opportunity to tell people how much you love them and… if today there is nevertheless someone outside of your family and friends you want to tell something… well in that case, TODAY is your DAY! And as one always says, “Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them”.
So… regarding this common thought, I think I should probably say what’s on my heart as well.
I’d like to leave a little message to someone who has always been very important to me. I’m not going to say more about his identity, I’m just going to write down what I would like him to know. I don’t know if he ‘s going to read this or not, but if he does, I would like him to know that I will always care for him, even if we’re not together and even if we’re far, far away from each other. I’ve been missing him for several years now, and this absence & emptiness taught me that missing someone was my heart’s way of reminding me that I loved him. I say “reminding” because, before everything, he’s a very dear friend. But I found myself to miss him and to need him more & more (I mean more than friends would miss and need each other normally). So I realized that in between our laughs, long talks, stupid fights and jokes… I had fallen in love.
Here it is, dear readers. I wish you all a VERY happy Valentine’s Day and don’t forget to…
Keep holding on to what you love & enjoy the ride of life 😉
